Baby "Isaac"

Isaac - Origin and Meaning of the name

[ 2 syll. i-saa(c), is-a-ac ] The boy name Isaac is pronounced as AYZahK KEY. Isaac is used chiefly in the English language and its origin is Hebrew. The name Isaac means he laughs, laughter. Biblical name derived from the word 'tsachaq' which means to laugh. Yitschaq (Hebrew) is an original form of Isaac. The name was borne in the Bible by one of the sons of Abraham and Sarah; his birth brought laughter and joy to his parents because Sarah was ninety-nine years old when she was informed of the pending birth. The name was taken up by Jews from the Middle Ages. In the 17th century, English Puritans started to adopt the name with some regularity. The name still remains more common with Jews.

Another Item Settled

Went to IMM today to shop and meet my ID. The moment I hit the shops, i got myself a pair of jeans. Shopping is definitely a woman's forte.

Well, proceeded to meet up with my ID and manage to settle most of our outstanding matters. Got his advice on the types of sofa, dining table, lights to get. What to do next after meeting him, well it's back to shopping again.

Was walking around when we chanced upon tis particular sofa at The Furniture Club. When ah lau set on it, his face lit up. I was impressed by the many functions of tis sofa despite it looking so plain and simple. Original price is at $3,888 but now going for $2,500. After a long discussion with the salesgirl, we signed our purchase. Managed to get 4 free cushions to go along with the sofa. It's a rewarding day today...

Gotta get ready now for the clash of the titans... MAN U vs CHELSEA!!!

Defects Settled!!

Went down to punggol today and my oh my.... I'm in a really good mood. The defects in my house have been settled. Thanks to my parents who went to inspect on the workers so that they will not add on to the defects.

Guess reno will be able to start soon liao.

Shopped Till I Drop

It's another early day today. Met up with my interior designer at Expo to select the materials for my house. Like the materials that were shown to us. We kinda decided quite fast but when it came to the selection for the built in wardrobe, my ah lau was cracking his head hard and flipping through the selection.

To my astonishment, he came out with this brillant combination that I really liked... that's great! Proud of you dear!

Anyway, proceeded to our place for appt with electrician. ID explained to him and think our bill should add up to $1,284.00 at the moment cos we are relocating some points too. After ID & electrician left, my parents, ah lau & myself proceeded to clean up the place. Too dusty after all the rectification works.

Headed to IMM at bout 6pm. Got out Panasonic System 3 from Gain City for $2,170.00 (with 5yr warranty). This includes the $120.00 for upgrade of insulation and $50.00 for 2 times installation. Think the 2 times installation is good as the painting can be done properly before the aircon goes up.

Guess the buying never stops.... still got lights, bathroom accessories, curtains, etc....

OMG!!!

Went to sundial ytday and saw a car flipped on it's side just outside punggol plaza. There was petrol that flowed out of the car. Hope that everyone is fine....

Headed to Harvey Norman to finalise some purchases. Bought a 32" Toshiba LCD from them but did not use it yet, so had to upsize it to a 37" for the hall. 32" is too big for my master bedroom. Nonetheless, did our comparison of prices at a few known shops outside before heading there.

I got my 37" Toshiba LCD TV (topped up $1029.00), latest brandt washing machine @ $880.00 and panasonic fridge @ $1,600.00.

Glad that we are still working within our budget.... Today will have to go and blow another $2,000.00 for the Panasonic System 3 aircon with Gain City as they are offering 5 years warranty and offer ends today.

Pocket Burnt

Went shopping again for the house... expect the damage to be quite a lot as these are the inevitable stuff that we have to definitely get for the house.
Went to Hoe Kee at IMM and purchased the following:
1) Tecno hood and hob for $640.00
2) Ariston 15l storage heater for $191.00
3) Blanco stainless steel sink for $295.00

the lady there did not give us too much discount on the stainless steel sink as Blanco price is more or less controlled.

more to come this weekend when we purchase our System 3 aircon man...

Happy Birthday To Me!!!

Another older today. Wondering will my "911" birthday be another exciting day.
Had a black out in Newton when my friends lit the candles on my birthday cake when i was 20.
World Trade Centre in US was attacked when I was 21 while cutting my cake at home.
A nice surprise came from my hubby this year cos he ganged up with my parents and suddenly while i was doing my stuff in my room last night, he suddenly appeared at my room door with the Man U jersey. He's such a dear... rushing to buy my gift although he has been so tied down by our new house and stuff. Thanks a lot dear!
Hubby treated me like a princess today. hope this could go on forever. anyway, gotta wake up from this dream once it's past midnight...

Zombie!

I'm totally drained out of my energy!! Started the day early with a trip down to the interior designer's office to discuss and sign the quotation. Made a 10% deposit... OUCH!!! pocket burnt liao...

So my ah lau and I decided to go to the Philips Sale to see if there's anything to buy... Shopping under the hot sun isn't the most glamourous thing at all. Had to queue, squeeze and make my way around.

It was a fruitful trip though. Bought a vacuum cleaner and an iron.... and a juicer! It's really a steal so am really happy with my purchase.

Can't wait for reno to start soon... (keeping fingers cross on rectification of defects)

**YAWN**... bedtime... ZZZZZzzzzz......

Just started this blog and am actually blank in the head.... let's say I'll just have to start with topics on my new house and stuff cos this is what my new neighbours and myself are going through now.

My parents got me my set of WMF pots from Robinsons yesterday.... Cool!!! Love the pots but thinking about it now, will I really get to use all the pots. I CAN"T COOK! maybe instant noodles are my best dish.

Anyway, today is a great day in the office cos my colleagues got me a bouquet of roses and an ang pow for me to go shopping. Thanks to my great bunch... you guys know who you are.

Gotta rest and boost my energy as it'll be more shopping for the house.
