Baby "Isaac"

Isaac - Origin and Meaning of the name

[ 2 syll. i-saa(c), is-a-ac ] The boy name Isaac is pronounced as AYZahK KEY. Isaac is used chiefly in the English language and its origin is Hebrew. The name Isaac means he laughs, laughter. Biblical name derived from the word 'tsachaq' which means to laugh. Yitschaq (Hebrew) is an original form of Isaac. The name was borne in the Bible by one of the sons of Abraham and Sarah; his birth brought laughter and joy to his parents because Sarah was ninety-nine years old when she was informed of the pending birth. The name was taken up by Jews from the Middle Ages. In the 17th century, English Puritans started to adopt the name with some regularity. The name still remains more common with Jews.

Super busy Saturday

Went for the gynae appt yesterday morning. Baby is healthy and all is good but we are unable to determine the sex of the baby as the baby crossed his/her legs this morning. Dr Tan says that we'll have to wait for next mth's full scan to find out the sex of the baby.

Proceeded to the IT fair at Suntec and boy was it crowded with lots of pple. Didn't buy anything from there so we proceeded on to Takashimaya for the baby fair.

As a first time mum, it's really exciting to go to a baby fair. Dear and I bought our baby's cot with free gifts ($359 - thank goodness for the big discount cos U.P. is $700+ ) and the pigeon starter set that comprises of the rapid steam sterilizer, 3 big & 2 small milk bottles, the bottle warmer, the brushes ($159 - U.P. is $250)...

Proceeded to the 3rd floor and found some maternity wear for myself.... $200 spent there.... Bought make up products for $80+...

Looking forward to find out the sex of the baby to buy really nice baby wear for him/her.

Disclosure after 1st trimester

To all who have been wondering if I'm pregnant looking at my slightly bloated tummy and pale looking face in the morning, I would gladly tell them now that I am pregnant. It was definitely difficult to deny when pple would ask me if I'm pregnant.

Once you are a mother, there are many things that you would rather believe so that it would be best for the baby. One of it would be to disclose the pregnancy after the 1st trimester where the condition will be more stabalised...

I thank everyone for their well-wishes and concern. In fact, many of my friends have also agreed that it is definitely safer and standard practice to disclose the pregnancy after the 1st 3 mths.

Till then, I will keep everyone posted of the journey till my delivery in this blog.

Have a great Sunday!

Missing in Action

Been MIA for a long time... nursing myself back to good health cos the first trimester is definitely a tough one.
Had to hide my pregnancy from many pple as MIL says cannot tell till after 1st trimester. Well, I'm currently now into my 14.5 week. Quite cool as the little bump on my tummy keeps growing.
Ah Dear and I are really excited bout things being 1st time parents. Now I understand what mothers go thru... it's really all bout sacrifice cos u can no longer it all types of food as there are many think bout like will it affect baby's skin, growth, etc... my biggest sacrifice will be my daily dosage of coffee... sometimes i look like a zombie when i head to work.
