Baby "Isaac"

Isaac - Origin and Meaning of the name

[ 2 syll. i-saa(c), is-a-ac ] The boy name Isaac is pronounced as AYZahK KEY. Isaac is used chiefly in the English language and its origin is Hebrew. The name Isaac means he laughs, laughter. Biblical name derived from the word 'tsachaq' which means to laugh. Yitschaq (Hebrew) is an original form of Isaac. The name was borne in the Bible by one of the sons of Abraham and Sarah; his birth brought laughter and joy to his parents because Sarah was ninety-nine years old when she was informed of the pending birth. The name was taken up by Jews from the Middle Ages. In the 17th century, English Puritans started to adopt the name with some regularity. The name still remains more common with Jews.

My Mini Garden

Decided to give a try with gardening so went to Daiso to purchase my garden materials and headed to one of the nursery at Kovan to buy plants. Hope i'll have "green hands" and the plants will continue to grow nice and lovely. If it works out, William wants to plant lime and chilli so that we can use it when we eat fried hokkien mee... haha!!!!

S vs XL

Wow!!! Why is William so thin even though his food is always so much larger than mine? Look at his double whopper... I was asking him to try the stacker thingy... the one with 4 beef patties inside....

Thanks Karin, Francois & Elyza

Far East Flora called me on 14 Nov 2008 to inform me that there is a delivery to my place which made me wonder who would send me flowers. Big Thank you to my cousin in Holland, Karin, her hubby Francois and beautiful baby Elyza.
The flowers look so princess especially with the lovely tiara placed on it!!! Thank you so much!

Many thanks Jie Meis and Xiong Dis

A very big thank you to all sisters and brothers who helped out during our wedding. Thanks gals for the great games that you've prepared for that day, handling the tail behind me and "babysitting" me throughout the day... haha...
Brothers who have helped us ferry relatives around, participated in the games and stayed by us throughout dinner, thank you all so much...

It's been a tiring day but I hope that all of you had a lot of fun too!!!

Big Hugs!

Super Tiring but FUN Sunday!

A month later and it's time for the 2nd fitting. Got it done last Sunday but this time, my parents, bro and ah dear went together with me. Super tiring trying for 2.5hrs. It was lots of fun though cos I had so many more pairs of eyes helping me out to choose the gowns.

Shockingly, all of us like the Electric Blue evening gown. Luckily my skin colour allows me to carry the dress well. Marcus (my bro) had a great time too and he too found it fun when i appeared in the "Kua". decided that one of my bridal photoshoot should include something traditional.

Waiting for my next fitting after all the alterations and stuff...

Trial Fitting No. 1

Oh gosh! Didn't feel too well on Saturday but went ahead with my gown fitting session. It took me 2 hours flat and I've KIV a couple of gowns. Gonna have my final fitting to choose the gowns end of this month as I gotta try the other gowns that I chose from Marina Square.

It's really tiring trying out so many gowns especially when they are long and heavy but when I've put on something that's suitable, it's really worth it as it makes me feel so "princess" like... hee hee...

Dar also had his share of fun, choosing the gowns and colours that are more suitable for me.

Wedding Gown Fitting

Just another 3 days and I'll be trying on the numerous gowns to find the suitable one. Hope that I'll be able to choose a pretty "princess" looking gown to walk down the aisle during my church wedding...

everything seemed to have come to a standstill at the moment... nothing more to be done at the moment i guess? waiting for mother-in-law to advise on more to do...

Bridal package settled!!!

Long last, settled the bridal package on saturday and we decided to sign on with Golden Horse Bridal. Whew! Time is really passing by so fast and it's already March. With another few months to go, more things must be settled. Must remember to go see Father Kenny to book my church wedding. Then gotta attend marriage counselling course too.... Aargghhh!!! Must look for flower girl and page boy too.... Anyone can loan your children to me???

Had a great time trying out 3 gowns on saturday and i like the princess looking one a lot. Decided to go for off-the-rack designs cos don't want to think too much and also want to try on the ready made ones so that i'll be able to tell if the suit me or not.

Till then, must try to slim down more then will look pretty in the photos...

Happy Birthday William!!!

It's my darling's birthday today and I really wanna thank him for being in this world...

We've celebrated 8 birthdays together and I'm really eternally grateful that i'll be able to celebrate many many more birthdays with him till we grow old with white hair.

Looking back on our relationship is always interesting as we are learning from each other as our relationship progress from one stage to another. This would be counted as the first birthday that I'm celebrating with him with status as "lawfully wedded wife".

Dar, if you are reading this, thank you for always being my pillar of strength, my shoulder to cry on, my big bear providing me bear hugs whenever I needed them... for everything... Looking forward to our big day in November and to start our lives together with little bundles of joy along the way... Love ya lots!!!

Year 2008!!!

Wow! It's the year 2008 and I realised that it's been a long time since i last posted in my blog. been too busy with work, the house and looking for a place for our wedding dinner.

Just had our house warming last saturday 19th Jan and we had a great turnout. A lot of wonderful colleagues, friends, relatives and neighbours came over. Father Kenny came over from St Anne's Church to do house blessing for me.

The session was interesting as he made William and I point out 2 things that we like and don't like about each other. It really made me reflect on my temper cos as the work stress takes it toil on me this few years, my temper has been really bad. I used to be this really patient gal but now I seem to have change so much. It was really quite a touching session as the relatives were with us throughout the session and the love and warmth that they showered on William and I were just priceless.

Many thanks to all of you for your ang baos, presents, love and care....

As I was so busy entertaining, I totally forgot to take out my camera to take pictures... wat a waste....
